16 Feb Osiris Muzo Emerald SAS Launches Exploration for Prospective Emerald License LCP-09521
Osiris Muzo Emerald SAS, one of the ISAM subsidiary companies in Colombia, has launched exploration for its mining title LCP-09521, considered to be among the most promising emerald assets of the group. The title has obtained its PTO from the Colombian national mining agency ANM, now only pending for its environmental license approval from ANM.
The mining title LCP-09521 has an extension of 279 Has and 6396 m2 and is located 67.37% in Quipama and 32.63% in Muzo. The stratigraphic sequence corresponding to the areas of direct influence over the title are the Itoco and Rio Minero faults, as well as the Muzo Formation (b3b4m) and the Capote Formation (b5b6c). These areas literally occupy the entire concession area and turn out to be the most interesting ones with the hydrothermal deposits, where producing veins of the berilo, one emerald variety, are reserved based on the realized studies.
The mining title area is highly valued according to the productive emerald mining caused by the geological environment of formation and faults. The presence of chromium and vanadium, chromophores elements responsible for the intense green color, generates the great demand for this type of emerald in the foreign market. These elements and other processes present exclusively in this mining area generate a great variety of emeralds with the highest quality, positioning it excellent reputation and top ranking in the world market.
